March 2013: At the reception which I hosted in my capacity as Chairman of the EP-Taiwan friendship group in honour of the newly arrived Representative of Taiwan (ROC) to the EU, Ambassador Dr Kuoyu Tung, and Anna Rosbach MEP.


March 2013: Addressing a visiting delegation of journalism students from London Metropolitan University, in which I explained my role as an MEP and Conservative Foreign Affairs Spokesman in the European Parliament.


March 2013: Speaking with Borjan Jovanovski from Macedonian Nova TV regarding the political situation in the Western Balkans and in particular with regards to Macedonia, whose report is coming up for debate and vote at the next Strasbourg plenary. I am the shadow rapporteur for Macedonia which is a candidate country for EU succession but still awaiting the right to open negotiations.


March 2013: Talking to Paul Anderson, former BBC war correspondent, to Europarl TV on the situation in the Middle East including the conflict in Syria, the economic and political situation in Egypt, and the need to restart the Israel/Palestinian dialogue, ahead of the Ministerial summit of the Euro-Mediterrean Union.


March 2013: With a group of A level students from St. Paul's Way Trust School in Tower Hamlets in London. I always enjoys speaking to students in their final year who have just reached voting age or are about to reach it to explain to them the role of the MEP and the EU.


March 2013: With the Australian Ambassador to the EU, Duncan Lewis. Australia is negotiating a series of commercial and political cooperation agreements with the EU ahead of a high level delegation visit led by the Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard.


March 2013: With Jose Ramos-Horta, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and former President and Prime Minister of East Timor and currently the UN Special Representative to Guinea-Bissau following a debate in the Foreign Affairs Committee. In the picture are two of my Portuguese MEP colleagues, Diogo Feio and Anna Gomes. I am a fluent Portuguese speaker and take a special interest in the Lusophone community internationally.


March 2013: At a lunch with representatives from the British Overseas Territories, including the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Anguilla and the British Virgin Islands accompanied by diplomats from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on a visit to Brussels to lobby for visa-free travel from the territories to the Schengen areas. I am the nominated representative for the British Overseas Territory Association in the European Parliament.


March 2013: Greeting the newly arrived Ambassador from the Republic of Taiwan (ROC), Dr. Kuoyu Tung. I am chairman of the European Parliament Taiwan Friendship Group, and a strong supporter of this robust democracy and economic tiger.
