November 2012: With a group of A level politics students from Kingston Grammar School after addressing the 6th form at the school on the topic of the role of the MEP and the workings of the EU. I am particularly keen to address secondary schools both in London and in the European Parliament, as students are the future and need to be better informed about the EU as it will increasingly affect their lives in a globalised world and they also need to be better informed in the event of a future rerefendum on EU membership or treaty changes


November 2012: On Belgian French TV discussing the need to cut some of the fat from the EU budget. Maintaining the Strasbourg second EP seat open from 2014 to 2020 will cost approximately 1.4billion d.


November 2012: Charles with Bob Walter MP at Berlin Security Conference which he chairs this year


November 2012: Charles in the final push for Croydon North parliamentary by-election with Conservative activists.


November 2012: Charles attending a dinner in London in honour of Nikos Anastasiades MP, leader of Democratic Rally Party (DISY) of Cyprus and Presidential candidate, with Dr Ian Twinn, former MEP for London, Marina Yannakoudakis MEP, and H.E. Alexander Zenon, High Commissioner of Cyprus to the UK


November 2012: Charles with President Saakashvili of Georgia at a dinner in honour of his visit to Brussels, alongside Anna Ibrisagic MEP. Charles is a strong friend of Georgia and admirer of its economic and democratic reforms led by its President, who is now handing power peacefully to the new government


October 2012: Charles with Subrina Hossain, CEO of NTV UK Europe, being shown round their East London studios before participating in "Talking Point".


October 2012: Charles being interviewed for NTV "talking point" by Syed Neaz Ahmad. This is a Bangladesh based TV station braodcasting globally to Bengali speakers in the UK, Europe and North America. Charles focused on the role of the European Parliament, UK and EU/Bangladesh relations and foreign policy isssues in South Asia, in particular the need for more economic integration in that region by Bangladesh improving relations with India.


October 2012: Meeting Frank Fahrenkopf, IRI board member and former Chairman of US Republican party on how the ECR and UK Conservatives can better coordinate the democracy and human rights agenda in the world. The International Republican Institute is active in more than a 100 countries including the new democracies of Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Arab world.


October 2012: Charles with Bob Blackman MP (Harrow East), where they both addressed a fundraising event for Belmont Ward Conservatives. October 2012: Charles hosting a reception in the name of the EP Taiwan Friendship Group, which he chairs, in honour of the visit of Dr Lai Shin-Yuan, Minister of Mainland Affairs of Taiwan. In the background is HE David Lin, then the Taiwanese representative in the EU, who has since been appointed Taiwan's Foreign Minister.
